The facility, one of the largest of its kind in North America, will produce and dispense clean hydrogen to fuel heavy-duty trucks. Using advanced proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis technology and powered by renewable energy, the plant will provide a zero-emissions alternative to traditional fuels, helping decarbonise the transportation sector.
The 3D tour highlights key aspects of the future facility, including:
- Clean hydrogen production: high-efficiency production via PEM water electrolysis technology.
- Heavy-duty truck refuelling stations: two refuelling stations capable of fuelling up to 100 trucks per day at pressures of 350 bar and 700 bar.
- Advanced infrastructure: optimised traffic flow, drop-and-swap trailer facilities, and a dedicated safety system.
Avina’s Vernon facility is set to play a critical role in expanding the US hydrogen refuelling infrastructure, supporting the nationwide adoption of hydrogen-powered trucks.
“We’re excited to share this 3D tour as a preview of what’s to come,” said Vishal Shah, Founder and CEO of Avina Clean Hydrogen Inc. “This facility represents a major step forward in our mission to help decarbonise heavy-duty trucking and build the infrastructure needed for a cleaner, more sustainable future.”
