Guidant Measurement, a provider of fiscal metering solutions, has announced the successful mechanical completion of its first hydrogen metering skid project for GreenH.
On 25 August 2026, the project reached a significant milestone with Mechanical Completion (MC), following a successful final inspection at Guidant's manufacturing partner. Representatives from GreenH and engineering partner Cyient confirmed their satisfaction with the quality of the delivered system and Guidant's ability to meet the agreed project schedule.
Launched in October 2025, the project marks a significant milestone for Guidant as its first hydrogen metering solution and one of the industry's pioneering applications of advanced metering technology for hydrogen service. Compared with conventional oil and gas systems, hydrogen measurement requires specialised materials, purpose-built engineering approaches, and enhanced safety considerations.
Supporting GreenH's sustainability ambitions, the metering skid incorporates Guidant’s modern digital software architecture based on a Virtual Flow Computer and Virtual Control System. This innovative approach reduces hardware requirements and physical footprint while maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and performance required for hydrogen applications.
“We have greatly appreciated our collaboration with Guidant. Building the first hydrogen plant of its kind requires both strong solutions and strong partners, and with Guidant, we found both,” said Marthe Bodahl Lunde, GreenH Technical Lead.
"This project demonstrates Guidant's ability to combine measurement expertise, innovation, and sustainability," added Sverre Smemo, Managing Director Guidant Measurement Systems. "The successful completion of this first hydrogen metering solution is a testament to the dedication of our project team and the excellent collaboration with GreenH, Cyient, Slåttland, and our suppliers."
Achieving mechanical completion of the project strengthens Guidant's position as a trusted provider of advanced metering solutions for evolving energy applications and supports the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
