Recently in Casablanca, Morocco, witnessed by His Excellency Nizar Baraka, Minister of Equipment and Water of Morocco, GUOFUHEE, together with Morocco's EHTP Institute and GFHA, unveiled North Africa's first integrated clean hydrogen demonstration system featuring PV hydrogen production-hydrogen storage-grid-connected power generation, which was successfully launched on the campus of EHTP.

Tailored for Morocco's Centre of Excellence for Clean Hydrogen, the system is equipped with 10 Nm3/h hydrogen production units and a 10 kW fuel cell combined heat and power (CHP) system supplied by GUOFUHEE. Leveraging the on-site photovoltaic power system of EHTP, it adopts the integrated coupling technology of green hydrogen production and hydrogen energy storage to form a closed-loop energy ecosystem covering hydrogen production, storage, and utilisation.

At the launching ceremony, Wu Pinfang, Chairman of GUOFUHEE, announced that the company will dispatch a professional team of over 60 engineers to support the innovation and application platform of EHTP. It also plans to invest approximately US$30 million to build the first-phase 1 GW electrolyser manufacturing base in Morocco.

On the same day, GUOFUHEE, together with GFHA and partners from Germany, Switzerland and other countries, signed four strategic memorandums of understanding (MoU) focusing on hydrogen-powered transportation, smart infrastructure and integrated energy systems, while the EHTP Hydrogen Energy Innovation Application Platform was officially inaugurated. Morocco has designated nearly 1 million hectares of land for green hydrogen development and planned more than 20 GW renewable energy installed capacity, rapidly emerging as a core hub for green hydrogen development across Africa. The official operation of this North African demonstration project marks that GUOFUHEE has shifted its business layout from single equipment export to systematic output of technology, industrial standards and full industrial ecosystem. It has deeply embedded China's mature hydrogen energy solutions into Morocco's national strategic layout, laying replicable and promotable benchmark experience for the company's global market expansion.

This milestone project in North Africa represents a phased achievement of GUOFUHEE's in-depth layout across Africa, and also serves as a solid practice of its global strategy evolving from targeted breakthroughs to comprehensive industrial ecosystem construction. Empowered by solid technological strengths and profound industrial accumulation, GUOFUHEE will further expand its footprint in Africa and the global hydrogen energy arena, contributing robust Chinese solutions and strength to the worldwide transition towards clean energy.
