Edil San Felice S.p.A. Società Benefit has been awarded – as the designated executing company by Consorzio Stabile Fenix S.c.a.r.l. – a new contract from Autostrade del Brennero worth €13 235 652.60 for the detailed design and construction of a hydrogen refuelling station.

This contract is of significant strategic importance: in line with the objectives that guided the issuance of a sustainability-linked bond in early 2025, the company has strengthened its commitment to initiatives capable of generating tangible environmental benefits.

Through this award, Edil San Felice consolidates its role as an integrated operator in the national highway infrastructure sector, continuing its growth in civil works supporting road transport. This development complements its established experience in road maintenance.

Specifically, the project involves the construction of an innovative hydrogen supply facility serving both light vehicles and heavy-duty trucks, representing a key infrastructure to support sustainable mobility along the Brenner Highway corridor.

The main activities include:

  • Construction of the operator kiosk and canopy.
  • Installation of hydrogen storage and compression areas.
  • Installation of dispensers and all electrical, mechanical, and fire prevention systems.
  • Paving, external works, and renovation of the existing building, including restrooms and showers, equipped with a photovoltaic system.

The project must be completed within 124 consecutive calendar days from the signing of the project commencement report.

With this new contract, Edil San Felice’s awarded projects in 2025 surpass €86 million in value.

Lorenzo Di Palma, CEO of Edil San Felice, stated: "With this award, we confirm our strong commitment to projects with a positive environmental impact, in line with the objectives that guided the issuance of our sustainability-linked bond last February. This project fully fits within the transition to more sustainable mobility, which requires increasingly advanced and innovative infrastructure. At the same time, we continue our path of progressive business diversification, complementing our established expertise in road maintenance with a targeted growth strategy in civil works, aiming to respond more effectively to a constantly evolving market."
