Global Hydrogen Review,
Chiyoda Corp. (Chiyoda) has been awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by ENEOS Corp. (ENEOS) for a large scale, direct methylcyclohexane electrosynthesis (Direct MCH®) demonstration plant.
This demonstration was conducted as part of the Green Innovation Fund Projects of Large Scale Hydrogen Supply Chain Establishment / Direct MCH electrosynthesis technology development commissioned by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation (NEDO).
The plant aims to identify obstacles for future social implementation of green MCH production technology, and will be equipped with a Direct MCH electrolyser, developed by ENEOS. Through this project, Chiyoda will support early implementation which is key to realising a carbon neutral society.
