ATOME Energy, a green hydrogen and ammonia production company with current large-scale projects in Europe and South America has announced the entry into a non-binding MoU with Puma Energy Paraguay in relation to hydrogen in Paraguay.
The companies will collaborate to develop potential lower-carbon solutions aiming to reduce the carbon intensity of Shell’s LNG supply projects around the world.
According to a recent report, the EU estimates that up to 24% of energy use could be hydrogen-based by 2050, with 17% of new heavy-duty fleet vehicles running on hydrogen by the end of the decade.
