Linde has announced that it will build a 35 MW PEM electrolyser to produce green hydrogen in Niagara Falls, New York, US, which will more than double the company’s green liquid hydrogen production capacity in the country.
Shell Catalysts & Technologies’ deoxygenation catalyst has been qualified for the purification of hydrogen gas produced electrolytically in Shell’s green hydrogen projects.
The HyTech consortium will be led by DNV, the independent energy expert and assurance provider, to support the department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy in the assessment of the feasibility, costs, and benefits of using 100% hydrogen for heating in the UK.
Under the MoU, the companies are to study the potential of supplying at least 900 MW of hydro-based renewable power for the H2biscus green hydrogen/ammonia project (H2biscus project) in Sarawak, Malaysia.
