The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP), an expert committee for hydrogen mobility, has welcomed two new members: Poppe + Potthoff and Tyczka Hydrogen. As an independent, technology-neutral organisation, the CEP brings together players from all areas of hydrogen mobility in road, rail, and factory transport. After a six-month trial period, both companies are now contributing their specific expertise to the CEP’s working groups as full members.

The Clean Energy Partnership develops cross-industry framework conditions, international standards and improves technologies for clean, safe and everyday hydrogen mobility. The focus is on road transport and industrial logistics.

Poppe + Potthoff has extensive experience in the development and manufacture of components for hydrogen applications, particularly high-pressure storage systems. Tyczka Hydrogen focuses on the production and distribution of green hydrogen as well as the construction and operation of hydrogen refuelling stations.

Dr Marcus Merkel, Executive Director of the Clean Energy Partnership, said: “The addition of Poppe + Potthoff and Tyczka Hydrogen brings further valuable expertise to the partnership, which is crucial for the development of technical standards in the CEP and the design of regulatory frameworks. This contributes significantly to establishing and scaling sustainable hydrogen mobility in road and rail transport as well as in industrial logistics.”

Christian Willem, Innovation & Strategy at Poppe + Potthoff, explained: “As specialists in high-pressure applications, we see enormous potential in hydrogen technology. Through our membership in the CEP, we want to actively contribute to the prerequisites for market ramp-up – coherent framework conditions, scalable systems across various use cases, and standards and norms for cost-effective, safe and everyday hydrogen mobility.”

Dr Christoph Stiller, Head of Business Development & Sales at Tyczka Hydrogen, added: “The collaboration in the CEP not only allows us to contribute our experience, but also to benefit from the combined expertise of all partners and to drive market development forward with combined forces. Exchange is essential, because only together can we create the conditions for sound industrial policy decisions that will shape the future of mobility in a sustainable way.”
