Hexagon Purus’ new facility is located in Niederzwehren industrial park. The 38 8000 square meter site will house a production facility and a technology centre for development and pilot production of new products.

The mayor of Kassel, Christian Geselle, emphasised the importance of Hexagon’s expansion for the city: "By providing a site in the Kassel Niederzwehren industrial park, we were able to offer Hexagon Purus the best conditions to develop and expand. I am very pleased that the company has decided to continue its growth path in Kassel to work on the further development of clean, sustainable, and zero-emission mobility solutions, making an important contribution in driving the energy transition forward.

"Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Hexagon Purus. Kassel will become the 'European Hub' of high-pressure cylinders production for our zero-emission mobility solutions," says Michael Kleschinski, Executive Vice President LDC in Hexagon Purus.

The expansion is expected to create 150 new jobs and operations are scheduled to start in 2023.
