John Cockerill Hydrogen and the Institute for Technological Research into Materials, Metallurgy, and Processes (IRT M2P) are strengthening their collaboration in the development of green hydrogen technologies.
On September 5 2025, Nicolas de Coignac, CEO at John Cockerill Hydrogen, Maite Basurto Rivas, CTO of John Cockerill Hydrogen, Stéphane Poinsot, Managing Director at IRT M2P, and Pascal Lamesle, Scientific and Technical Director at IRT M2P, signed an agreement formalising the commissioning in Metz, France, of two electrolysis test benches, designed to test the electrolysers of the future as part of the European IPCEI Hy2Tech project.
For several years, John Cockerill and the Institute for Technological Research into Materials, Metallurgy, and Processes have been contributing to the development of the French green hydrogen ecosystem, particularly through research into equipment and components, with the aim of technological innovation and accelerating the development of the hydrogen sector in France and Europe.
