On 21 November 2025, the signing ceremony for the integrated green hydrogen project in Terengganu, Malaysia, GUOFUHEE and Nova RE Suria Sdn Bhd (NRSSB) officially signed a strategic agreement, marking the beginning of their in-depth collaboration in the hydrogen energy sector.

The signing event brought together a diverse group of partners, including Bin Zayed International (BZIM) from the UAE, Energy China International Jointly with Jiangsu Electric Power Design Institute, and others. Focusing on the critical green hydrogen consumption and distribution segment, GUOFUHEE and NRSSB are working closely with the project owner and other stakeholders to drive the project forward, injecting multi-dimensional momentum into the development of a robust green hydrogen industry ecosystem.

Located in Terengganu, Malaysia, this project represents one of the first large scale flagship green hydrogen initiatives in the region. It is being developed in phases and aligns closely with Malaysia’s national energy strategy and its ‘Net Zero Carbon by 2050’ vision.

Serving as a core component of the regional green energy complex, the project plans to establish a 200 MW hydrogen production facility. Once fully operational, it is expected to produce nearly 3000 tpy of green hydrogen, capable of meeting local industrial demand while also supporting exports to international markets. This positions the project to achieve a dual-function layout of local consumption and global distribution, offering both significant scale and strategic positioning within Malaysia’s green hydrogen landscape.

In this collaboration, GUOFUHEE takes on a central role in green hydrogen consumption and distribution. On one hand, the company will take charge of the project’s green hydrogen distribution business, efficiently channeling green hydrogen to key markets in Southeast and East Asia, while also actively participating in the development of a global consumption network for green hydrogen derivatives such as green ammonia and green methanol. On the other hand, GUOFUHEE will provide comprehensive equipment and technical solutions for the hydrogen transportation segment, leveraging its end-to-end capabilities in "production, storage, transportation, refuelling, and application" to ensure robust logistical support. This consumption-focused partnership also lays the foundation for deeper collaboration in equipment supply. As the project progresses, GUOFUHEE plans to engage in related equipment partnerships based on its technological expertise, further enhancing the project’s technical support system.

As one of the first Chinese companies to enter the Southeast Asian hydrogen market, GUOFUHEE has previously launched green hydrogen refuelling and liquid hydrogen demonstration projects in Singapore and Malaysia. This latest agreement marks a significant milestone, signifying the company’s strategic shift from "single-point pilot projects" to a new phase characterised by "large scale consumption, derivative expansion, and ecosystem synergy".

Building on its comprehensive full-industry-chain technological expertise, GUOFUHEE will ensure efficient green hydrogen distribution while providing liquid hydrogen storage and transportation solutions as needed, effectively connecting the entire value chain from "production to storage, transport, and consumption". Moving forward, GUOFUHEE will continue to deepen its presence in the Southeast Asian hydrogen market. Leveraging its technological strengths and established industrial footprint, the company is committed to fostering a regional hydrogen ecosystem, supporting low-carbon development, and contributing its hydrogen energy solutions to the global journey toward carbon neutrality.
