MaserFrakt, one of Sweden’s largest providers of heavy-duty transport, construction machinery, and logistics services has partnered with Norwegian Hydrogen for the supply of green hydrogen for MaserFrakt’s vehicle operations. The collaboration is an important step in both parties' ambition to contribute to the green transition, enabling zero emissions in heavy transport.

The agreement facilitates the continued conversion of MaserFrakt’s vehicle fleet to green hydrogen operations. The green hydrogen is produced with hydropower and thus contributes to a significant CO2 reduction compared to conventional fossil fuels.

“Heavy duty vehicles account for a large share of the emissions from the transport sector. Through this agreement, we show that green hydrogen is a competitive and sustainable alternative already today,” commented Jens Berge, CEO of Norwegian Hydrogen. ”Our neighbours in Sweden are indeed at the forefront when it comes to real adoption of green hydrogen in a wide range of industrial and mobility applications, as demonstrated through our steadily increasing customer portfolio here. We thoroughly appreciate taking an active part in this journey.”

For MaserFrakt, the agreement is part of the company's long-term commitment to sustainability and emission reduction to the benefits of its clients and society at large.

“Our customers are increasingly demanding environmentally friendly logistics solutions. With green hydrogen powered trucks, we can reduce our carbon footprint without compromising capacity or availability,” added Per Bondemark, CEO of Maserfrakt.

The agreement has been developed in close collaboration with TRB Sverige AB, which is an active partner in MaserFrakt’s hydrogen initiative. TRB has played a key role in structuring the commercial framework and has actively participated in the negotiations related to the supply setup for green hydrogen. As a shareholder company within the TRB network, MaserFrakt benefits from joint strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating the transition to climate neutral heavy transport solutions across Sweden.

The collaboration between Norwegian Hydrogen, MaserFrakt and TRB is seen as an important contribution to the development of a fossil-free transport sector and strengthens the role of green hydrogen in Sweden's energy transition.

The green hydrogen is being produced in Norway, and whereas the deliveries to MaserFrakt have already started, Norwegian Hydrogen also has green hydrogen production projects under development to serve its clients in Sweden, which further underpin the rationale of this partnership.
