Casale SA, a Swiss-based technology licensor and engineering company, and OMNI Conversion Technologies Inc., a Canadian company specialising in waste-to-fuel solutions, have signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) to jointly explore the development, integration, and implementation of OMNI’s proprietary OMNI300 thermochemical gasification system for the clean conversion of municipal solid waste (MSW) into syngas-based products, including green methanol and hydrogen-derived fuels.
Driving circularity and decarbonisation
This partnership aims to deliver fully integrated MSW-to-product solutions to clients seeking circular, sustainable pathways for waste valorisation. By combining OMNI’s gasification technology with Casale’s process expertise and end-product technologies, the collaboration will enable communities across Central Europe, North America, and beyond to turn non-recyclable waste into valuable chemicals and fuels, while reducing CO2 emissions and minimising environmental impact.
The agreement positions Casale as a co-developer – on a non-exclusive basis— of OMNI’s municipal solid waste-to-syngas platform, contributing to the advancement of circular economy solutions and supporting decarbonisation through practical, scalable innovation.
“This partnership will allow Casale to integrate a highly innovative and proven technology into our platform,” commented Federico Zardi, CEO of Casale SA.“OMNI’s solution adds to our growing portfolio of technology partnerships as we continue to deliver circular, economically sound processes with low environmental impact.”
“Teaming up with Casale – an established leader in clean fuels and chemicals – is a pivotal step in our growth journey,” added Jon Lundy, CEO of OMNI. “Together, we can expand the reach of OMNI’s gasification technology and accelerate the global transition to low-carbon circular solutions.”
