Fisher German to support hydrogen pipeline

The contract will see teams from Fisher German’s Newark and Doncaster offices provide specialist land rights advice, land referencing services, valuation advice, and landowner management services for the H2East Pipeline on behalf of main contractor Worley, which is leading on front-end engineering design (FEED) and securing a Development Consent Order (DCO) for the project.

If built, the 150 km pipeline will create new infrastructure to transport hydrogen across the North East, Yorkshire and the East Midlands, supporting power generation, steel, and chemical production across industrial clusters.

Once operational, the pipeline is expected to enable up to 11 GW of hydrogen production capacity, which will reduce carbon emissions and create high-quality jobs.

The appointment strengthens Fisher German’s growing involvement in nationally important energy and utilities schemes, as the UK moves towards decarbonising its energy network and developing large scale hydrogen solutions.

Fisher German will work on the project for Worley in partnership with SLR Consulting, Murphy, and Camargue.
