Exolum launches mobile hydrogen refuelling station

Global Hydrogen Review,

Exolum now has the first of two publicly accessible mobile hydrogen refuelling stations for fuel cell vehicles in service. These hydrogen stations, based on the technology of the Aragonese company CALVERA Hydrogen, are designed to adapt to the needs of customers, providing hydrogen at pressures of 350 and 700 bar, and they come in container format for easy transport.

This initiative falls under the company’s H2ROAD business line which aims to offer ad hoc hydrogen logistics solutions throughout the entire value chain.

The service, already in use, makes this hydrogen station available to customers at any location they require in complete safety. These containerised units mean customers can access hydrogen refuelling solutions wherever needed, as they are designed so they can be easily and quickly moved from one location to another.

To ensure the quality and safety of the hydrogen supplied, Exolum implements online analysis and measurement systems at custody transfer points. This ensures the hydrogen meets the required quality standards.

Exolum is not only responsible for hydrogen transport, but also offers storage solutions and management of the entire supply infrastructure. The company is also responsible for the qualification and training of the personnel responsible for operating the hydrogen stations.

Exolum seeks to further develop the hydrogen economy with this project and demonstrate that hydrogen is a real and current solution to decarbonisation of both the goods and public transport sectors. It has obtained a grant under the ‘Sustainable and Digital Transport Support Programme’ led by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
