Bosch Rexroth and Kawasaki announce collaboration

Rexroth AG and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced their agreement for a technology collaboration in the off-highway machinery sector with the vision to drive innovation and sustainability. A framework agreement to this end was signed in Stuttgart, Germany on 22 September 2026. It continues the memorandum of understanding (MoU) that was signed on 2 March 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, US, and marks the deepening of the planned collaboration in off-highway machinery and hydrogen solutions. The planned initiatives are subject to the parties` continuous antitrust review.
The intended partnership shall enable customers to benefit from a unique combination of Bosch Rexroth's system expertise, advanced electronics and software, and extensive electrics portfolio with Kawasaki's renowned precision hydraulic hardware and unique excavator system proficiency. The approach is intended to accelerate the development of advanced solutions and make them available to the market, addressing the industry's most pressing challenges: enhanced worksite safety, autonomous operation, seamless data exchange, and the accelerated transition to more sustainable energy sources.
